Reading: This week we are continuing on the theme of Problem and Solution for our comprehension skills. The students will be reading out of trade books from our school library as they work on this skill.

Art: This week the students are practicing how to make a digital flipbook on their iPads with the app: Flipbook HD. Students will begin creating digital flipbooks about how "Failure Leads to Success." We will talk about how we have to try again and again to finally have that successful 'aha' moment.
Scholastic Book Club: You may place book orders online through Scholastic Book Club through Friday, August 29th. Check out the catalog online. Each class will compete to collect the most box tops for the school. The box tops are collected and turned in for money used to support the school.
