Newsletter December 15th-19th

Today students had an opportunity to log into MyKoob using their own secure username and password.  They will be signing in more frequently to find assignments needed for school.  If you do not login regularly with your child, have them show you what we learned today.

K-8th Grade Advent Service
Our annual K-8 Advent Service is this coming Monday, December 15, at 7:00pm in the Concordia Center at our Kirkwood campus. This is one of the most special events that we do as a school, as we gather together across our campuses and worship our Savior with one voice. We strategically plan the service so that every student has a role. Please, parents, do everything possible to ensure that your student attends the service and participates.  Plan to arrive early and secure a good seat! Thank you in advance for prioritizing this special worship opportunity.

4th graders should wear dressy church clothes or a nice CCLS uniform.  They will sit with Mrs. Brannan and Mrs. Endorf for the service.  They will also need recorders for the worship service.
Please have your child go to the restroom before the service begins.
Finally, have your child ready and seated at 6:55 p.m. with their homeroom teacher.

**Service Project Trip Information**
Friday, December 19th
During this Christmas season the 4th graders have prepared beautiful music for a Service Project to the Little Sisters of the Poor Home in Saint Louis.  Students are asked to bring their recorders to play while we are at the home.

To prepare for this servant event please send in one bag of individually wrapped candy.  We will pass out a goody bag as we sing Christmas carols down the hall.  Also, after the servant event, the 4th graders will experience a unique Saint Louis tradition of Crown Candy Ice Cream!

Your child needs to bring Mrs. Brannan $5 in cash for the ice cream.  Your TADS account will be charged $5 for the bus.  Please let your homeroom teacher know if this presents a difficulty for your family.

Chapel Buddy Christmas Gift Exchange
On Thursday, December 18th the 4th graders and their chapel buddy will be exchanging a small gift.

The CCLS Dinner Auction will be held on 2-21-15.  The "2-2-1-1-5 Classroom Challenge" is a chance for all CCLS families to participate, even if they cannot attend the event.  Each classroom that collectively donates each of the following will be awarded a "Free Dress & Popcorn Day" (for Elementary and Middle School Classes):
