Newsletter March 31st - April 4th

Math: This week students will work on lessons 77-80 and Investigation 8. 

Reading: The theme this week is The God Rush.  Students will work on Cause and Effect as we read through the story "The Gold Rush Game".

Reading: The theme this week is Putting on a Play.  Students will read through a play working on expressing their voice with different character parts.  They will be responsible for acting out part of a play as well, all will be done in class.

From October - March your child will have an opportunity to fill out their Book IT! reading calendar saying they read 20 minutes a day.  When they turn in their form, they will receive a certificate to Pizza Hut for a free, one-topping Personal Pizza for their reading achievement.
Find a good book and start reading!

Newsletter March 10th-14th

Welcome to the 4th Quarter of 4th Grade!

Math: This week students will work on Investigation 7, this will work differently as we are doing most of the lesson about surveys in their Google accounts.  Then we will complete lessons 71-73.


Reading: The theme this week is Airplanes. Vocabulary words: glider, unstable, wingspan, applauded, headlines, hoisting, assured.  We will study the Author's Perspective using a graphic organizer while reading My Brother's Flying Machine.  Students will also research in class about the Wright Brothers and we will have a paper airplane contest.
