As we look forward to our schedule, we want the students to be prepared for the Achievement Tests.  The students will be practicing through April with Stanford Achievement Practice Tests.  They will be tested in Reading, Math, Spelling, Science, Social Studies and Listening.

Reading: Our theme this week is "Going to the Library".  Our main reading selection will be Because of Winn Dixie.  We will be focusing on the skill of summarizing   This will also help as the students prepare for their next book report.

Book Report: A book of history or a historical fiction book will be required to complete their book report.  As the students are reading they will need to pick out the setting or location, they will need to briefly describe the characters in their book and identify the beginning, middle, and end to their story.  I will go into more details about what this will look like later in the week but first help your student find a book they would be interested in reading!
This will be due on Thursday, April 25th
