Newsletter August 18th - 22nd

Math: In Math this week the students will work on lessons 2-6.
Blank Math Homework Sheet

Reading: The students did a wonderful job sharing their favorite scenes from the book Tales of a Fourth Grade Nothing by Judy Blume.  We will be finishing up discussing the book with a Venn Diagram comparing Peter to the students and working on Cause and Effect.

We will also begin reading in their reading books the story "The Case of the Missing Lunch".
This week we will focus on working on Problem and Solution charts with other picture books as well.

Art: Students will begin creating digital flipbooks about how "Failure Leads to Success."  We will talk about how we have to try again and again to finally have that successful 'aha' moment.

Library Days: Thursday is our day to go to the library.  Mrs. Senske and Mrs. Headrick are working hard to get the library ready for the big opening the beginning of September.

Scholastic Book Club:
You may place book orders online through Scholastic Book Club through Friday, August 29th.  Check out the catalog online.  Please use our parent code to log in and order your books.  There is also a scholastic link to the Book Club page on the right side of this blog.  Happy Reading!
