Newsletter May 12th-16th

Field Day: Students should bring a towel, extra tennis shoes, socks, and shirt to wear.  They will be getting WET!  Also, Mrs. Knost offers Ted Drewes Ice Cream on field day, if you can, please donate a few ice cream toppings for the students to enjoy with their ice cream and $1 to help cover the cost of the ice cream.
Mrs. Knost asks 4th grade families to donate water bottles in 12 or 24 packs of at least 16 oz water bottles by Monday, May 12th to Mrs. Whitney's office.

Math: In Math this week the students will work on lessons 92-96.

Reading: Reading Book Club is finishing up with the last few chapters and starting projects about Character Descriptions, Podcasts about their favorite parts, and re-writing the ending.  Look for links on the blog over the next two weeks.

Art: Students are working on the art of brick making.  Mrs. Endorf (my mother-in-law) has graciously donated her time and will share her talent of brick making with the students.  Also, the students will be finishing up their tessellation art work during the week.

Library Days: Thank you for all the time and care you have given to our library this year. Please make sure your child has no lost book fee to pay.  Finally, say a big THANK YOU to MRS. SENSKE and MRS. HEADRICK for keeping the library in great condition!

Scholastic Book Club: You may place book orders online through Scholastic Book Club through Friday, May 16th.  Check out the catalog online. Please use our parent code to log in and order your books.  There is a link to the Book Club page on the right side of this blog.  Happy Reading!

Save those BOX TOPS!
Each class will compete to collect the most box tops for the school.  The box tops are collected and turned in for money used to support the school.
